In short: Zakat Compass does not collect, store or sell your personal information. The amounts you type into the calculator never leave your device.
What stays on your device
To save you typing everything again, the calculator keeps your entries and your language choice in your browser's local storage, on your own device. We cannot see this information. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
If you install the site or open it once, your browser also keeps a copy of the site's files so it can open quickly and work offline. This copy contains no personal information.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, names or phone numbers
- No cookies
- No analytics or visitor tracking
- No advertising or advertising cookies
Services the site uses
Like any website, a few outside services are involved in showing the page to you. None of them receive the amounts you enter.
- Netlify hosts the site. Its servers keep standard technical logs, such as your IP address and browser type, to run and protect the service.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. Your browser downloads them from Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
- Live rates. When the site shows today's gold, silver or currency rates, your browser downloads public price files from jsDelivr and Cloudflare. These requests carry nothing you have typed.
If you email us
If you write to contact@myzakatcompass.com, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We never share or sell them, and we will delete them if you ask.
Children
The site is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add advertising or analytics, we will update this page before they go live and change the date at the top.
